How to View Files Saved on Your ThePhotoStick Omni

There are several ways to view the photos, videos, documents, and audio files saved to your ThePhotoStick® Omni.
This how-to guide will explore the top 3 most effective ways for viewing your saved files:
1. Viewing Files Saved to ThePhotoStick® Omni on a Windows Computer
2. Viewing Files Saved to ThePhotoStick® Omni on an Apple Mac Computer
3. Viewing files using the Android or iOS (iPhone) ThePhotoStick® Omni app
*NOTE: For this how-to guide, we will start with a ThePhotoStick Omni drive that was used to back up photos, videos, documents, and audio files from an iPhone 13, Samsung Galaxy S22, Windows 10, and MacBook Air.
1. Viewing Files Saved to ThePhotoStick® Omni on a Windows Computer
There are two ways you can view your photos, videos, documents, and audio files saved to ThePhotoStick® Omni on a Windows computer:
A. Viewing files using ThePhotoStick® Omni Organizer
B. Viewing files using the Windows File Explorer
A. Viewing Files Using ThePhotoStick® Omni Organizer
1. To open ThePhotoStick® Omni Organizer, click on the “Photo/Video Organizer” button:

2. ThePhotoStick® Omni Organizer will scan your ThePhotoStick® Omni drive for any new files and update the Gallery. This will allow you to see photos, videos, document, and audio files that are backed up to your ThePhotoStick® Omni drive.

3. ThePhotoStick® Organizer will then open. You can now enjoy easily browsing and viewing each of your files.

B. Viewing Files Using the Windows File Explorer
ThePhotoStick® Omni stores your photo, video, document, and audio files on your ThePhotoStick® Omni device in the directory path: \My_Files\.
For example, if you plug your ThePhotoStick® Omni into a Windows computer and Windows assigns the drive letter “D:” to your ThePhotoStick® Omni device, the path to files backed up to it would be D:\My_Files.
Then, within the My_Files folder, you will see a folder for each device that backed up files to your ThePhotoStick® Omni device.
So, as an example using the case of this How-to guide, let’s say we want to view the files backed up to our ThePhotoStick® Omni from John’s iPhone on a Windows computer. To do this using Windows File Explorer, do the following:
1. Open Windows File Explorer.
a. You can open Windows File Explorer by selecting its icon on the taskbar or the Start menu, or press the Windows logo key + E on your keyboard. You can also double-click on the “My_Computer” or “This_PC” desktop icon. If you are unable to open Windows File Explorer, View the Microsoft support document here.

2. Double-click on ThePhotoStick® Omni drive and then on My_Files.
3. Here we can see the four devices that were backed up to ThePhotoStick® Omni drive. Double-click on John’s iPhone.

4. To see photos saved from John’s iPhone, double-click on “My_Photos”. If you want to see the audio and video files saved from John’s iPhone, double-click the corresponding folders “My_Audio” or “My_Videos”.

5. You can now enjoy easily browsing and viewing each of your files.

2. Viewing Files Saved to ThePhotoStick® Omni on an Apple Mac Computer
There are two ways you can view your photos, videos, documents, and audio files saved to ThePhotoStick® Omni on an Apple Mac computer:
A. Viewing files using ThePhotoStick® Omni Organizer
B. Viewing files using the macOS Finder application
A. Viewing Files Using ThePhotoStick® Omni Organizer
1. To open ThePhotoStick® Omni Organizer, click on the “Photo/Video Organizer” button:

2. ThePhotoStick® Organizer will then open:

3. You can now enjoy easily browsing and viewing each of your files.
B. Viewing Files With the macOS Finder Application
ThePhotoStick® Omni stores your photo, video, document, and audio files on your ThePhotoStick® Omni device in the directory path: /My_Files/.
So, on your Mac computer, the path to files backed up on your ThePhotoStick® Omni device would be /Volumes/PHOTOSTICK/My_Files.
Then, within the My_Files folder, you will see a folder for each device that backed up files to your ThePhotoStick® Omni device.
So, as an example using the case of this How-to guide, let’s say we want to view the files backed up to our ThePhotoStick® Omni from John’s iPhone on a Mac computer. To do this using Finder, do the following:
1. Open Finder on your Mac computer.

2. Click on your ThePhotoStick® Omni device, and then double-click the My_Files folder.

3. Here we can see the four devices that were backed up to ThePhotoStick® Omni drive. Double-click on John’s iPhone.

4. To see photos saved from John’s iPhone, double-click on “My_Photos”. If you want to see the audio and video files saved from John’s iPhone, double-click the corresponding folders “My_Audio” or “My_Videos”.

5. You can now enjoy easily browsing and viewing each of your files.

3. Viewing files using the Android or iOS (iPhone) ThePhotoStick® Omni app
Photos, videos, and Audio files backed up to ThePhotoStick® Omni can also be viewed in the Android ThePhotoStick® app and the iOS ThePhotoStick® app.
A. Viewing Files with the Android ThePhotoStick® app
To view files with Android ThePhotoStick® Omni app, do the following:
1. Plug your ThePhotoStick® Omni drive into your Android device and then open the ThePhotoStick® Omni app. Once open, tap "Get Started".

2. Tap the 3 bars in the upper lefthand corner of your screen.

3. Select ThePhotoStick Omni drive, then tap “Use this Folder”. If prompted, tap “Allow” to give the app access to files on the ThePhotoStick Omni drive.


4. Tap "View" at the top of your screen.

5. You can now enjoy easily browsing and viewing each of your files.

B. Viewing Files with the iOS (iPhone) ThePhotoStick® app
To view files with the iOS ThePhotoStick® Omni app, do the following:
1. Plug your ThePhotoStick® Omni drive into your iPhone or iPad then open the ThePhotoStick® Omni app. Then tap “View Files On Your ThePhotoStick”.

2. You can now enjoy easily browsing and viewing each of your files.
